Only action going on:
Cardinals, Please beat Philly: Quote Cards will need to keep the Defensive momentum. Lets hope Q is back for this game. Winning the TO battle is key for all teams especially the Cards we are 10-0 when we either break even or win the TO battle this year. According to NFL Stats teams that are +1 in the TO margin win 77% of their games. Cards only need to break even on the TO. I prefer we are atleast +2 in the TO margin just to be safe. Edge, Tim and JJ need to rack up some yards on the ground so our playaction is efective. The eagles are bringing with them one hell of a Defense. Our Oline need to be near flawless. Penalties were have been kept at a minimum so far in the playoffs that trend needs to continu. Ben Graham has been spectacular in punting the ball and giving our Special teams a chance to cover punts. Im not sure of his stats but I do know his punting given us favorable field postion. Anytime we can pin the oppostion inside the 10 yard line at UOP it jacks our D up. Im sure Clancy will have a good game plan for the Eagles this week. Look forward to a week of good discussions. This is going to be a fun week for all of us die hard Cardinal fans. I for one am extremly proud to call myself a Cardinals fan. What say you? Read: Quote Secondary Coach Steve Wilks is going to be on SDs staff in 2009. Wilks was fired by the Chicago Bears last week. Wilks served under Chargers defensive coordinator Ron Rivera when Rivera was the Bears'coordinator. Wilks was in San Diego on Saturday. I wouldnt be surprised if SD signed Safety Mike Brown. He's 30 and has a history of season ending injuries at FS but moved to SS this past year and started all 16 games for Chicago. That way Rivera gets a coach he trusts on the sideline and a player he trusts on the field. |
